Our satisfied customers
Inglenook, St Agnes - This environmentally friendly home has been built by Ecohouse Ltd, of St Agnes, using
Cornish timber, slate and stone.
|
|
It is highly insulated using sheep's wool and features a heat
recovery system. Natural Generation installed solar panels
which are used to supply the home's hot water for bathing as
well as for supply to the underfloor heating system.
A rainwater recycling tank stores water which is used to flush
toilets and to supply the washing machine.
"Even when the sun is still hidden behind thin
clouds the solar panels kick in. It's good to
know that we are saving money and energy
by using the sun's power. Natural Generation
helped us choose the right system for us
and were able to install it quickly and
efficiently"

East Hamsworthy Farm, Pancrasweek, Devon
A 6kW Proven wind turbine installed on a 15m mast in an area of around 2 acres.
Click here to view our customer's account of the installation, starting with his
research into wind turbines through to enjoying 'green' energy.
"I am very pleased both with the build quality and performance of the Proven turbine,
it was expertly and efficiently assembled and commissioned by Mike Field and his
Natural Generation team exactly to the penny of his original quotation. It is even
quieter than I had hoped for, and there have been no adverse comments on the visual
aspects."

Porthtowan
A 6kW Proven wind turbine installed on a 9m tower, ideally sited on the cliffs overlooking Porthtowan Beach
(average wind speed of 6.5m/s) plus a photovoltaic system comprising 28 Imerys roof-integrated PV tiles
installed on the south facing garage roof. Both renewable energy systems are connected to the grid. The
PV system is predicted to supply 1800 kWh while the wind turbine should supply around 11,000kWh.

Callestick, Nr Truro
One of the first 5.5kW Westwind wind turbines installed in Cornwall. Westwind proved particularly suitable for
this site as the connection to the grid for anything larger would have proved costly. The control system
for the Westwind enabled the connection of a 3.8kW inverter to harness the majority of the energy generated
with any excess diverted to a heating load. The Westwind has a furling action to protect itself in extreme
winds which is a simple and robust solution ensuring a long reliable working life.

Rose-in-Vale Hotel, Mithian, St Agnes
Medium sized solar thermal heating system contributing to heating the outdoor swimming pool (~10% solar gain)
and barn hot water supply (~60% solar gain). During the winter the heat is diverted to a 4.5kW radiator in the
laundry room. 8 Vaillant AuroTHERM plus VFK 990 in-roof panels were installed in two sets of four on adjacent
barn roofs. These panels are highly efficient flat plate panels with an efficiency of 85.4%. This project is
one of several we have now installed on listed properties.
