The Technology

PV panels are ideally situated in a South facing direction with no shading and can be roof mounted or ground-mounted. We can supply and install both types of system and offer a free survey to determine the most suitable array at your site.

PV arrays can be installed using 4 different methods as follows:

  1. On-Roof Mounting; Our most common system. Panels are installed ON the roof allowing a space between the panels and the roof.
  2. In-Roof Mounting; Panels are installed IN the roof and sit in line with the roof material.
  3. Roof Integrated Tiles; Completely roof integrated tiles replacing the existing roof tiles or slates. Good for new-builds.
  4. Ground-Mounted; System installed on a specially designed frame. Ideal for clients without suitable roof space and orientation.

Natural Generation Ltd has designed, installed and commissioned more than 100 PV installations since the introduction of the Feed-in Tariff and can provide all of these installation techniques.

Photovoltaic Systems in the South West

We are lucky in Cornwall and the South West as we benefit from the best annual solar resource in the UK. In simple terms, the sun shines more here and so the economic return of a PV installation is greater. Typically a 1kW system will require 8-10 square meters of PV panels and will generate approximately 800 kWh per annum. This figure is based on a nation-wide government figure; our systems in and around the South West are proving to generate in excess of 1000 kWh per annum.

System design will be dependent on function, target generation, space constraints and budget. Remote locations with off grid systems can benefit greatly from hybrid installations combining technologies such as wind and photovoltaics to benefit from higher wind speeds in the winter and greater sunlight in the summer.

Why use Natural Generation?

Natural Generation are independent, MCS accredited PV designers and installers. We are committed to provide a unique design and installation for every client to ensure that the system meets their needs. Our main driver is to provide you with a quality system that operates effectively and efficiently.

What We Do.

Ensure that our customers are shown how to use their renewable energy system and how to get the most out of it.

Use high-quality stainless steel brackets as part of the roof fixing system.

Work with a number of high quality products such as Sharp, Romag, Sanyo, SMA and Fronius.

Support the British economy wherever possible.

What We Don’t Do.

Install only set system sizes.

Drill through slate or tile as part of the installation process – after all a 25 year product should be installed using a 25 year fix.

Use cheaper components to maximise profits.

Sub-contract.

Use high-pressure sales.
