On-Roof, In-Roof or Ground-Mounted Solar PV
We offer a variety of on-roof or roof-integrated mounting systems for all roof types.
If your roof isn’t suitable, there are also ground-mounted solar pv options available.

Shared Solar for Flats, Apartments & Multi-Occupancy Homes
Solar shouldn’t be limited to single-family homes. Natural Generation is an Allume Certified SolShare installer, allowing us to deliver shared solar PV systems for apartments, new-build developments and other multi-occupancy properties.
Using Allume’s SolShare technology, a single rooftop solar array can intelligently distribute renewable energy to multiple homes, helping residents reduce their reliance on grid electricity and make greater use of clean energy generated on the building.
Shared battery storage can also be incorporated to maximise solar self-consumption, even after the sun goes down. SolShare is a smarter way to bring solar to more homes.
Whether you’re a developer, housing association or property owner, talk to our team today about how shared solar could work for your building.

Discover More About Solar for your Home
Q: Do solar panels still work on cloudy days or during UK winters?
Yes! Solar panels generate electricity from daylight, not just bright sunshine. While they produce the most power on clear summer days, they keep generating electricity on overcast and rainy days too. A battery system helps even more in winter by letting you charge up on cheap off-peak grid power overnight to use during the day.
Q: Is my home’s roof suitable for solar panels?
Most roofs are suitable; south, east, and west-facing roofs all generate plenty of power. North-facing roofs are generally avoided because they get less sunlight. We’ll check your roof's orientation, pitch, shading from nearby trees or chimneys, and structural strength during our initial assessment to ensure solar is a good fit for your home.
Q: What is a home solar battery, and do I really need one?
A battery stores the extra solar power your panels make during the day instead of sending it back to the grid. You can then use that free stored power in the evening when cooking, watching TV, or running appliances. While you can run solar without a battery, adding one usually means using up to 90% of your generated energy yourself, saving you much more money on your electricity bills.
Q: How much maintenance do home solar panels need?
Very little. Solar panels have no moving parts, and in the UK, rain naturally washes away most dust and dirt. We recommend having them visually checked every few years and keeping nearby trees trimmed back so they don't block the light. Most quality panels come with 25-year performance warranties, so you can largely fit them and forget them.
Q: How much can I save on my home energy bills, and can I sell power back?
A typical household can cut its electricity bill by 50% to 80% when pairing solar panels with a home battery. Plus, any extra electricity you don't use or store can be automatically exported back to the national grid. Energy suppliers will pay you for this power through Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariffs, giving you an extra income stream alongside your bill savings.
